Dog-Friendly Food Truck Embarks on Visit to 'The D'

1818

Milo’s Kitchen Treat Truck — a mobile food experience for dogs — will visit Detroit later this month as part of a national tour that includes stops at 15 major metropolitan areas.

The marketing efforts build upon the growing popularity of food trucks, but with a canine bent, say company officials for Milo’s Kitchen, a brand of California-based Big Heart Pet Brands.

Each stop will include free samples of chicken and beef home-style dog treats; the opportunity to use a canine-ready photo booth; and the chance to try out different dog beds and toys.

The tour’s Detroit schedule (subject to change) as follows:

July 26

  • Balduck Park in Detroit (from 7:30 a.m. to TBD)
  • Grosse Pointe Shores Dog Park (from 2 p.m. to TBD)

July 27

  • Canton Dog Park in Canton’s Preservation Park (from 7:30 a.m. to TBD)
  • Heritage Park in Canton (from 2 p.m. to TBD)
