Novi’s DexKo Global Inc., which offers trailer running gear, chassis assemblies, and related components, has acquired Safim, an Italian company that manufactures hydraulic braking system components used in off-highway equipment applications. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Safim was founded in 1977 and manufactures its products primarily in facilities in Modena, Italy, and Pune, India. It serves customers worldwide across multiple end markets and has grown in the last few years.

DexKo Global is a portfolio company of KPS Capital Partners in New York, the manager of the KPS Special Situations Funds, a family of investment funds with about $5.1 billion of assets under management.
