MSX International, a Detroit-based global business process outsourcing company, has acquired the United Kingdom’s Impetus Automotive, an international consultancy that works with vehicle manufacturers to improve performance and grow business within retail dealerships. MSXI is acquiring Impetus from its parent company, Volvere plc.
MSXI acquires 100 percent of Impetus Automotive’s stock under the terms of the agreement.
The acquisition more than doubles MSXI’s footprint in the U.K. market and brings new capabilities to the organization and greater access to serve leading OEM clients. Impetus brings skills in retail sales, aftersales, and learning services to the company.
“The acquisition of Impetus Automotive combines best-in-class experience from two market leaders in the U.K. while providing a pathway for clients to extend services across MSXI’s global presence,” says Patrick Katenkamp, CEO of retail network solutions at MSXI. “This acquisition strongly supports our strategy to gain scale in core training, sales, and service offerings as well as strengthen client relationships with major automotive manufacturers.”
Impetus delivers services and products to global car, motorbike, agricultural, construction, and heavy goods vehicle manufacturers. It also conducts business for clients in many European markets, as well as in Australia, China, and Japan.
The volume of vehicle registrations in the U.K. grew by 23 percent in August 2018 from the previous year, and more than 1.5 million vehicles have been registered in the country so far this year.
“The combination of Impetus Automotive and MSXI will enable the joint organization to better serve customers and continue to build on an already strong client base,” says Jonathan Lander, CEO of Volvere plc. “I’m confident that Impetus Automotive’s sales and aftersales consultancy services will perfectly supplement MSXI’s portfolio and provide interesting opportunities for Impetus Automotive’s staff in future.”
MSXI is a leading business process outsourcing company that provides technology-based services to enterprises in more than 80 countries.
