Gage Growth Corp., a Detroit-based cannabis brand, has signed a five-year partnership agreement with California’s Pure Beauty to launch the latter’s line of cannabis products in Michigan.
Through the partnership, Gage will be the exclusive producer, processor, wholesaler, and retailer of Pure Beauty branded products in Michigan. Gage and Pure Beauty will work to develop and commercialize a product lineup that includes flower, a full range of pre-rolls, extracts, beverages, and edibles that will be sold at Gage branded provisioning centers.
“Our mission is to bring unique, high-quality products to market, while being mindful of the social and environmental implications intrinsic to the cannabis industry,” says Imelda Walavalkar, CEO of Pure Beauty. “As a brand that cares deeply about art and culture, we felt very aligned with Michigan’s distinct and thriving culture, specifically with Gage, who we find to be among the best cultivators and operators in the nation. We are confident they will execute at the highest level as they share our commitment to social justice.”
Fabian Monaco, CEO of Gage, says, “We are thrilled to announce this partnership with one of the top brands in cannabis. Brand recognition is key to winning in the cannabis industry and with the addition of Pure Beauty to our brand portfolio, we look forward to creating and delivering the highest-quality cannabis products and experiences to our customers and patients.”
Gage also announced that it is adding two retail locations — in Flint and Burton (just east of Flint).
The Flint location will be at 4174 W. Pierson Rd., a heavily trafficked area accessible to residents in Flushing and downtown Flint. The Burton store will be at 1234 N. Center Rd.
The company also announced it has entered into a contract grow agreement with a third-party Michigan cannabis license holder, adding its 11 expected contract grower to its portfolio for the 2021 calendar year. Gage states it expects to receive product from the new contract grower in the fourth quarter of this year in an amount of approximately 250 pounds of dried cannabis per month.
“These latest additions to Gage’s retail and cultivation portfolios enable the company to broaden and solidify its position in the Michigan market,” says Monaco. “We look forward to bringing our world-class cannabis experiences to new communities through our increased retail locations. Gage is committed to investing in the communities in which it operates, and we will approach Flint and Burton with the same high level of integrity, focus on diversity, and dedication to offering a variety of quality products to provide the best cannabis experiences to the region’s patients and consumers.”
