Better Made, a longtime snack company based in Detroit, has announced that its products are now available in 14 states outside of Michigan, including Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Nevada, Virginia, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania.
Smaller distributors who specialize in niche brands heard requests from former Michigan residents in these states to offer the Better Made brand. The company expects to add more states in late 2018.
Other distributors are located in Japan and Qatar.
“The growth of our brand is really flourishing now,” says Sam Cipriano, CEO of Better Made. “We are starting to get a real foothold in several new states with smaller distributors and are expecting to grow each market and add new states this year. The growth is due in part to our loyal customers living out of state and the desire for niche brands across the country.”
The company was founded in 1930 in Detroit as Cross and Peters. Today, Better Made offers 124 flavors and products, including gourmet popcorn, pretzels, beef jerky, tortilla chips, potato sticks, and pork rinds, as well as potato chips in flavors including original, sour cream and onion, salt and vinegar, barbecue, lightly salted, and others.
Better Made is family-owned and uses locally grown potatoes and trans fat-free cottonseed oil.
