Detroit-based live entertainment company 313 Presents has partnered with Mixhalo, a live show audio company that allows fans to connect directly to soundboards to stream live concert audio to headphones through their cell phones.

The partnership will start at DTE Energy Music Theatre with the Dave Matthews Band on Aug. 11 and will be available at all remaining shows, including Kings of Leon, Maroon 5, Pitbull, Alanis Morissette, and Dead and Company. The partnership looks to expand the Mixhalo technology to other 313 Presents venues.

“Detroit is a bustling city known for its exceptional live entertainment, and 313 Presents delivers the best in live entertainment for every type of fan,” says John Vars, CEO of Mixhalo. “As people’s desires for deeper connection are greater than ever, we want to help deliver a live music experience that feels intimate and memorable.”

The technology has been adopted by the Stern Grove Festival in San Francisco along with major sports teams including the Los Angeles Football Club and the Sacramento Kings. Through the mobile app, fans are able to receive high-fidelity sound from anywhere in the venue. Artists like Aerosmith, Metallica, and Incubus also partnered with the company for their tours.
