The Fall Detroit RV and Camping Show is open at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi today through Sunday and features more than 100 RVs including folding campers, motorhomes, travel trailers, toy haulers, fifth wheel travel trailers, and a park model ranging in price from $6,995 to more than $400,000.
The show, which covers 300,000 square feet of the Suburban Collection Showplace, is staged by the Michigan Association of Recreational Vehicles and Campgrounds (MARVAC).
The event includes booth exhibitors with RV parts and accessories, hitch, towing, suspension specialists, campgrounds, and more. Twelve dealerships — including Bish’s RV, General RV, Kline’s RV, Krenek RV, Holland Motorhomes, National RV, Price Right, RV One, TerryTown RV, Veurink’s RV, Vicars, and Woodland Airstream — will be onsite with financing options and information on rentals.
This year’s RV show comes as the camping community continues to grow. There are an estimated 80 million campers in the United States and the community continues to welcome millions of first-time campers every year. Experts say they expect 2023 to be another record-breaking camping year.
While several of the models on display at the show are in the highest price range, RV manufacturers are turning toward budget-friendly models. This year, show organizers say many RV manufacturers are highlighting models that make camping easier and affordable.
General RV, for example, has affordable units on display like the Winnebago Access and the Modern Buggy Little Buggy. These new units are designed to make camping accessible no matter the budget.
Admission to the show is $13 for people aged 13-54, $11 for those aged 55 and older, and children 12 and younger are free. Parking is not included in the admission. To purchase tickets, visit here.
