Detroit-based New Horizons’ (NH) Learning Solutions, an IT training company, announced it has acquired substantially all of the assets belonging to CompuWorks Systems Inc., also an IT training provider.

“CompuWorks has been a respected member of the IT training industry for many years, which makes this a very exciting acquisition,” says Mark McManus, CEO of NH Learning Solutions. “The content that CompuWorks will introduce into our product catalog is diverse and offers our customers greater flexibility in solving their business problems.”

Boston-based CompuWorks has been involved in the IT training industry for more than 25 years. McManus says its instructor-led training and short-session video library complements the current product lineup offered by NH Learning Solutions.

NH Learning Solutions offers training for programs such as IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, and Cisco, among others.

“With New Horizons' strong management team, operational expertise, and a continued commitment to excellence, our customers can leverage a broader range of training products and learning solutions to give organizations a greater competitive edge,” says Andrew Wight, former CEO of CompuWorks, who’s now vice president of content solutions at NH Learning Solutions.

The former CompuWorks center in Woburn, Mass. will become a NH Learning Solutions training center. NH Learning Solutions operates 17 centers throughout the Midwest and Northeast.
