Next year, the Detroit Auto Show will return to Huntington Place in downtown Detroit, taking place Jan. 14-25, 2026.

The recently completed 2025 Detroit Auto Show, which drew 275,000 attendees, had an economic impact of up to $370 million, the Detroit Auto Dealers Association reports.

With an enhanced format designed to drive innovation and connections, the Detroit Auto Show is setting the stage for continued growth and impact.

Major partners, including Racing Day presented by the Detroit Grand Prix, are confirmed to participate in the 2026 show, with a series of announcements to follow this year.

The 2026 dates include:

  • Media and Industry Days, Wed., Jan. 14 and Thurs., Jan. 15
  • Charity Preview, Fri., Jan. 16
  • Public Show, Sat., Jan. 17 – Sun., Jan. 25

Having just concluded the show’s incredible return to its traditional time slot, we’re excited to announce next year’s dates and keep the momentum going,” says Todd Szott, chair of the 2026 Detroit Auto Show. “January is synonymous with cars in the Motor City, and we expect plenty of auto-centric experiences to, once again, be on tap for the 2026 show.”

The 2025 show returned to January with a lineup of 34 brands, four immersive indoor ride-and-drive tracks, nearly 500 vehicles, and unique activations. And for the first time in seven years, The Gallery returned featuring more than 50 ultra-luxury vehicles.

Following a hiatus in 2020 due to COVID-19, the auto show was held in 2021, 2022, and 2023. Last year, no show was offered as organizers prepared for the most recent event in January.
