After remaining vacant for more than a year, Dembs Development — a Farmington Hills-based real estate development company that designs, builds, manages, and owns real estate properties throughout southeastern Michigan — today announced the acquisition of the former Federal-Mogul Corp. headquarters, a 360,000-square foot facility in Southfield.

“After sitting vacant for more than a year, this iconic space is poised for the next great opportunity as the southeast Michigan business community continues to boom and more companies are looking to move into the region,” says Ryan Dembs, president and CEO of Dembs Development. “The outstanding location is highly trafficked, has state-of-the-art amenities and historic architecture unlike new developments today. The possibilities for this unique property are endless, and we look forward to activating this key office location through creative solutions.”

The building is located on Northwestern Highway at the corner of Lahser Road and the Lodge Freeway, and includes a variety of modern office amenities, including an underground parking garage, collaborative workspaces, a 350-person stadium-style seating auditorium, a restaurant, landscaping with outdoor seating, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

The seller and transaction value have not been disclosed.
