Meadow Brook Hall Announces Dates for Holiday Season Events
Meadow Brook Hall, on the campus of Oakland University in Rochester, has announced the dates for its annual holiday season activities.
Tickets will go on sale Oct. 3 at meadowbrookholidays.com for events starting Nov. 24 and concluding on Dec. 30.
“Meadow Brook is the most spectacular place to be this holiday season, whether you are looking for family fun, an evening with friends or a great date night.” says Shannon O’Berski, external relations director of Meadow Brook Hall. “We are thrilled to welcome families, couples, friends and people of all ages once more to Meadow Brook, to make merry and create new holiday memories at the most wonder-filled time of year.”
Guests will experience more than 50 decorated trees — including a 10-foot tall Poinsettia tree created by 150 live plants, hundreds of feet of garland, and thousands of twinkling lights.
The Holiday Walk will run most dates from Friday, Nov. 24 through Saturday, Dec. 23 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
At night Meadow Brook is transformed into a dazzling light show. Winter Wonder Lights is a self-guided outdoor event featuring unique light displays across the grounds. It will be an evening of lights, music, and magic where visitors can explore the National Historic Landmark at its most festive.
Concessions such as glow-in-the-dark cotton candy, and fresh popcorn, seasonal and specialty drinks, selfie stations, bonfires, and more are planned. Winter Wonder Lights will run from Friday, Nov. 24 through Thursday, Dec. 30 from 5:30 p.m.-10 p.m. most nights.
Meadow Brook also will host a series of holiday events including Starlight Stroll, OU Nights, and Holiday Tea. Santa Saturdays will feature special visits with the head elf himself.

Two Orthopaedic Clinics Merge to Expand Access to Patient Care
Michigan Orthopaedic Surgeons (MOS), the region’s largest group of the orthopaedic and musculoskeletal surgeons and specialists, has merged with the Novi-based Michigan Hand and Wrist P.C., which now falls under the MOS brand.
The merger brings together teams of highly skilled orthopaedic surgeons, including hand specialists, combining their expertise and experience to deliver comprehensive and specialized care for patients with musculoskeletal conditions.
By integrating businesses, MOS adds two board-certified surgeons to its team of nearly 50 physicians. Dr. Jean-Paul Guiboux and Dr. Jeffrey Placzek, who together have more than 55 years of medical experience, specialize in hand and upper extremity conditions, and help further serve the needs of patients needing treatment in those areas.
Patients will have access to a larger network of providers, clinics, and hospitals, improving accessibility to care and experiencing streamlined and improved coordination of care across various stages of treatment and rehabilitation.

Onsemi, BorgWarner Expand $1B Collaboration for Silicon Carbide
BorgWarner Inc., a global mobility solutions provider in Auburn Hills, and Arizona-based intelligent power and sensing technology supplier Onsemi are expanding their strategic collaboration for silicon carbide (SiC), making the total agreement worth over $1 billion in lifetime value.
BorgWarner says it plans to integrate Onsemi EliteSiC 1200 V and 750 V power devices into its VIPER power modules. The EliteSiC devices join a broad portfolio of Onsemi products that are part of the long-standing strategic relationship between the two companies.
Onsemi provides high-performance EliteSiC technology for the EV traction market. It has decades of experience in the design, development, and manufacture of power semiconductor products support successful adoption in high-volume automotive applications.
“First and foremost, Onsemi’s continuous and strategic investment in ramping SiC manufacturing capacity across its end-to-end supply chain gives us confidence in our ability to support the increasing demand for our solutions, now and in the future,” says Stefan Demmerle, vice president of BorgWarner Inc. and president and general manager of PowerDrive Systems.

Fine Art at The Village Returns to the Village of Rochester Hills July 29-30
The Village of Rochester Hills shopping center hosts the 19th Annual Fine Art at The Village, a juried art show curated by the Village Fine Art Gallery team, July 29-30.
Featuring more than 70 artists from across the United States, Fine Art at The Village showcases a diverse range of art forms, including ceramics, glasswork, paintings, drawings, mixed media, sculptures, photography, fiber art, woodwork, jewelry, and more.
Artists’ booths will be lining Main Street and one side street. To enhance the experience for art fair patrons, traffic will be closed through the center of the village, allowing for a seamless route to explore and appreciate the artwork.
Plastic Easter Eggs will be hidden throughout the art fair, with some containing $1 bills and others offering coupons worth $25 or $100, redeemable exclusively at participating artist’s booths.
“It’s always exciting to bring back favorites as well as introduce new artists to the community through Fine At at The Village,” says Donna Beaubien, executive director of fine art at The Village. “The beautiful and relaxed atmosphere of the Village of Rochester Hills is the perfect setting to view artwork of this caliber and meet the artists.”
The festival will open its doors to art enthusiasts on Saturday, July 29, from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and continue on Sunday, July 30, from noon-6 p.m.

Davenport University, Meijer Partner to Offer Team Members, Families Scholarships
Davenport University in Grand Rapids and Meijer executives have signed a partnership agreement, providing Davenport University Gold Education Scholarships to Meijer team members and their families.
The Davenport University Gold Education Scholarships offer up to $8,000 per year in scholarship funds to Meijer team members; up to $6,500 per year to all Meijer spouses and children up to age 29; and a 20 percent discount on professional development certificates and certifications.
Davenport’s Corporate Education Scholarship Program provides new pathways for career development and mobility within an organization while reducing the financial challenges of higher education. The Davenport University Gold Scholarships are available to all Meijer team members, regardless of their location, through flexible in-seat and online offerings.
