Little Caesars Reintroduces Stuffed Crust Pizza with a Twist

Detroit-based Little Caesars is announcing the reintroduction of the Stuffed Crust pizza — this time, with an enhancement designed to elevate the holiday experience. The new pizza is available starting today at participating locations.

The Stuffed Crazy Crust Pizza takes Little Caesars classic Stuffed Crust pizza and tops the crust with Little Caesars’ signature Crazy Crust topping — a blend of garlic-infused melted butter with a sprinkle of parmesan.

The Stuffed Crazy Crust pizza is “a combination of flavors, textures, and indulgence that’s perfect for any get-together, party, or family dinner,” the company states.

McLaren Health Care Under Investigation for Data Breach of 2.2M Patient Records

Grand Blanc-based McLaren Health Care is under investigation by a San Francisco law firm for a data breach impacting the sensitive personal and health information of 2.2 million patients.

According to Schubert Jonckheer & Kolbe, an unauthorized party gained access to McLaren’s computer systems between July 28 and Aug. 23. On Oct. 3, a cybercriminal ransomware group known as Alphv/BlackCat claimed credit for the data breach and boasted that it had stolen more than 6 terabytes of data.

The company recently informed patients that the following personal and health information may have been stolen in the breach: names; Social Security numbers; health insurance information; dates of birth; and medical information, including billing or claims information, diagnosis, physician information, medical record numbers, Medicare/Medicaid information, prescription/medication information, and diagnostic and treatment information.

Although the breach occurred more than three months ago, McLaren only began notifying impacted patients on or around Nov. 9, which may have violated state and federal laws.

Anyone whose personal information was impacted by this incident, may be at risk of identity theft and our serious violations of your privacy. As a result, may be entitled to money damages and an injunction requiring changes to McLaren’s cybersecurity practices.

The Roof Resource Expands National Reach with New Texas Branch

Denso Wins Supplier Excellence Award from Caterpillar Inc.

Southfield-based Denso has DENSO has won one of 20 Supplier Excellence Awards 2023 from Caterpillar Inc., establishing it among a supplier group that met or exceeded rigorous requirements and achieved world-class certification levels.

Caterpillar procurement leadership presented the award at the company’s Supplier Excellence Recognition event in Grapevine, Texas, on Sept. 26.

Denso earned its recognition for outstanding quality, delivery, compliance and support of its heavy-duty starter and alternator business. During the awards ceremony, Caterpillar also praised Denso for the exceptional performance of and service provided for its engine control unit.

Denso’s team behind the heavy-duty starter and alternator for Caterpillar is distributed worldwide, with team members in functions like design, production, sales, quality and delivery located in Southfield, Japan, Spain, the U.K., and Waterloo, Iowa.

Comedy and Cocktails Raises $100K+ for Arts Programs at Macomb Community College

Macomb Community College Foundation’s October Comedy and Cocktails event raised $106,000 in support of the college’s arts and cultural programming. The annual benefit has been staged since 2014, with a hiatus in 2020-21 due to the pandemic.

“We are grateful for this valuable support from friends of the college, whose ongoing generosity is vital to Macomb’s ability to present programming that not only entertains, but also educates and enriches our community,” says James O. Sawyer IV, president of MCC.

Presented by First State Bank, Comedy and Cocktails featured a cocktail reception, silent auction with music by the Kroon Trio, silent auction with 85 items up for bid and a gourmet strolling dinner in the Lorenzo Cultural Center.

The annual event concluded in the Macomb Center for the Performing Arts with a performance by former “Saturday Night Live” actor and comedian Kevin Nealon.

Michigan Science Center to Offer Black Friday Weekend Membership Deals

From Black Friday through Cyber Monday, the Michigan Science Center (Mi-Sci) will offer deals on its annual memberships and gift shop items.

Mi-Sci is offering a Buy One, Get One free “BOGO” deal for membership, with packages available from $65-$185. Mi-Sci also will offer a 15 percent discount for the general public and a 25 percent discount for members at its gift shop as part of both “Small Business Saturday” and “Museum Store Sunday,” national shopping events that take place every year after Thanksgiving. Both offerings are available from Nov. 24-27.

All new memberships, gifted memberships, and renewals are eligible for the Buy One, Get One promotion. Members receive year-long access to the museum, plus discounts on theater tickets, education programs, summer camps, special events and gift store items. They also receive invitations to special member events and previews, plus reciprocal admission to more than 250 Association of Science and Technology Centers globally.

Membership packages include:

  • Individual Plus – $65: includes one member and one guest.
  • Family – $99: includes two adults and up to six household children under 18.
