Continental Café Recapitalizes with Boston-based Investment Firm

Continental Cafe Inc. in Troy, one of the nation’s top 25 food service providers with such brands as Forte Belanger and Infinity-Ovation Yacht Charters, which operates on the Detroit River, has recapitalized its operations with New Heritage Capital, a private equity investment firm in Boston. Terms of the deal, handled by Deloitte Corporate Finance, were not disclosed.

Continental, founded in 1989, serves more than 700 Michigan companies including: Delta Airlines, Bosch, FordDirect.com, FCA, Wayne County Airport Authority, the University of Michigan, DTE Energy, General Motors, EY, and others. The company employs more than 900 people and serves more than 10,000 meals in more than 475 locations. The company produces more than 1,400 custom events per year, and serves their handcrafted fare in 40 cafes and over 65 markets throughout Michigan.
