Construction is underway on a 92-condominium community called Arbor Chase just west of downtown Ann Arbor, with the first buildings scheduled to be offered early next year. Prices range from $225,000 to $255,000.

“Arbor Chase will be a beautiful addition to the area, and provide a convenient, well-priced housing option for those working in Ann Arbor or surrounding communities,” says Seth Herkowitz, a partner at Farmington Hills-based Hunter Pasteur Homes.

The project, located of Zeeb Road one mile south of Jackson Road, will consist of 12 buildings, each with their own private entrance and parking. The condos range in size from nearly 1,300 square feet to about 1,600 square feet, and each unit featuresmaps

two bedrooms and up to two and a half baths.

The condos will have hardwood flooring in the foyer, kitchen, and dining room, granite countertops in the kitchen and master bath, tile flooring in the full baths, a tile shower in the master bath, second floor studio ceilings, and soundproofing throughout.

Downtown Ann Arbor has seen a surge of higher-end housing developments in the past five years, including a 19-unit, midrise condo building, an upscale condo building on the west side called The Mark, and a 22-unit development called 121 Kingsley West.
