The Detroit Red Wings and Olympia Entertainment announced a multi-year partnership with Clawson-based International Bancard, making the payment processing company the official credit card processor for the Detroit Red Wings as well as various offerings at Joe Louis Arena, Hockeytown Café, Comerica Park, and the Fox Theatre.
“Our partnership with International Bancard allows Olympia Entertainment and the Red Wings to provide a great service to our customers and fans,” says Tom Wilson, president and CEO of Olympia Entertainment. “Through this partnership, we’re now able to provide a safe and reliable way for our fans to purchase items at Red Wings games, concerts, and events held across our venues.”
The agreement gives International Bancard exclusive rights to provide merchant services at the Joe’s Olympia Club, Alumni Room, Comerica Bank Legends Club, Manhattan Room, concession and merchandise areas, along with the Fox Theatre suite level and concession areas, Hockeytown Café, and Leo’s Coney Island within Comerica Park.
“It is a great honor to be partnering with such well-respected, role-model companies like Olympia Entertainment and the Detroit Red Wings,” says David Iafrate, chairman and CEO of International Bancard. “Given the combined passions our companies have for Michigan and the city of Detroit, this partnership seemed like a natural fit. For the first time, fans have the ability to use their credit and debit cards throughout the entire arena, reliably and securely.”
As part of the deal, the rebranded International Bancard Olympia Club will be unveiled Friday prior to the Red Wings game against the Chicago Blackhawks.
