Rochester-based Chief Financial Credit Union is officially opening its new Chief Financial Community Center and branch at 20 S. Main in Rochester with a ribbon cutting at 4 p.m. today.

Tom Dluzen, president and CEO of Chief Financial, says its new facility will offer the community and businesses a “welcoming space to gather, learn, and connect.” The Chief Financial Community Center includes an event space, public areas, and offers areas for members, the community, and local organizations to work.

“When we moved our headquarters to the Rochester area in 2015, we were welcomed with open arms,” Dluzen says. “As we’ve continued to grow into other communities, it made sense for us to expand our footprint in the community we call home with a beautiful space that welcomes people into downtown Rochester.”

Originally headquartered in Pontiac, the credit union was founded in 1941 and has expanded over the years to include branches in Dearborn, Pontiac, Rochester Hills, and Birmingham. A Troy location is planned to open soon.

The Rochester area has become an essential part of the credit union’s business, Dluzen says, partnering with local organizations as well as becoming the official credit union of both Leader Dogs for the Blind and Rochester University.
