Detroit-based Chevrolet unveiled two new monochromatic sport editions of the Silverado 2500 HD and 3500 HD at this week’s Denver Auto Show. The new models feature body-colored front and rear bumpers, as well as a body-colored grille, along with chrome accents.
“The team that created the 2015 Silverado HD went to extremes to deliver a truck that would live up to Chevrolet’s reputation for building the most dependable, longest lasting pickups,” says Jeff Luke, executive chief engineer of Chevrolet. “And with the wide range of configurations, there is a Silverado HD to suit just about every task.”
The Silverado 2500 features 20-inch polished aluminum wheels, while the 3500 Custom Sports features 18-inch polished aluminum wheels. The trucks are available in either black or white.
Chevrolet has released various Silverado editions in recent months. The Silverado Black Out has black tires, deep tinted glass, and black bowties — giving the truck a dark, monochromatic look. The Silverado Custom Sport offers projector beam headlamps and heated power-adjusted mirrors.
Suggested retail prices for the sport package range from $700 to $1,700, depending on the model. The MSRP for the Silverado 2500 HD is about $39,000, while the Silverado 3500 HD retails for around $38,000.
