The Cadillac brand of General Motors in Detroit has unveiled all-electric 2026 OPTIQ-V, joining Cadillac’s fifth generation of the V-Series portfolio.
Among its many features, which the automaker says elevates the brand’s performance offerings, is the native NACS (North American Charging Standard) inlet. The 2026 OPTIQ-V is GM’s first vehicle to be so equipped, providing customers with direct access to fast-charging options across North America.
“Integrating the native NACS port into our vehicle architecture is an important step forward, reflecting our leadership in engineering and our commitment to providing our customers with more charging options,” says John Cockburn, chief engineer for the OPTIQ-V.
OPTIQ-V will be sold in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Middle East, and Israel with production starting in fall 2025. MSRP starts at an estimated $68,7951 including destination freight charge, and excluding tax, title, license, and dealer fees. Dealer sets final price.
According to Cadillac, OPTIQ-V was developed for customers who love to drive and push their vehicle to its limits.
“The V-Series was a natural continuation with the OPTIQ’s architecture,” says Cockburn. “With Cadillac’s signature isolated precision ride and handling characteristic, tighter steering, enhanced suspension and summer-only tires, our team delivered a unique package that makes OPTIQ-V a fun, nimble drive that’s quicker when cornering.”
OPTIQ-V features standard dual motor all-wheel drive and a Cadillac-estimated 519 hp and 650 lb.-ft. of torque, for a burst of power and acceleration. This experience is enabled by Velocity Max, a driver-selectable feature that unleashes the vehicle’s full performance capability.
OPTIQ-V includes an 85-kilowatt-hour battery pack that will enable a Cadillac-estimated 275 miles of range.
Additional performance-supporting and enhancing technologies include:
- V-Mode, which takes performance customization further, allowing drivers to save performance-focused settings, including Competitive Mode and a unique sound experience. It’s intended to offer instant access to their preferred performance-driving settings via the V button, mounted on the steering wheel. V-Mode can also be accessed in the Drive Mode app within the 33-inch-diagonal advanced LED display.
- Launch Control, designed for consistently thrilling straight line acceleration. When engaged in V-Mode or Velocity Max1, the vehicle will deliver a rapid 3.5 second 0-60 acceleration.
- Competitive Mode enables a suite of traction management features specifically engineered to increase vehicle agility.
- Brembo performance front brake calipers are standard. Available blue or red calipers are accented with the V-Series logo.
- Standard Super Cruise 5, the industry’s first truly hands-free driver assistance technology (with three years of OnStar connected service).
OPTIQ-V’s exterior design elements combine to create a sporty aesthetic, punctuated by the available royal blue calipers, Cadillac says. The blue theme continues to the unique rear quarter windows, where the Cadillac precision pattern features blue accents inspired by the V-Series badge.
As with other V-Series models, the OPTIQ-V is identifiable by a unique front, which includes a new fascia design, the signature V-pattern mesh in the lower grill, a high gloss black front splitter, and body colored lower trim. A carbon fiber package is available, which adds a carbon fiber front splitter, rear diffuser and rear mid-spoiler.
Further identifying OPTIQ-V are the iconic V-Series badges adorning the rear doors and liftgate, while a V-Series badge is etched in the driver’s side grillette. The liftgate also features a gloss black rear lower diffuser.
OPTIQ-V features 21-inch satin graphite alloy wheels, paired with low-profile tires7 and a laser-etched V-Series badge, with a choice of standard all-season or available summer tires. Optional polished and painted 21-inch wheels in a dark sport finish are available.
OPTIQ-V offers a standard black painted roof and panoramic fixed glass roof, and new for OPTIQ are two limited edition8 exterior colors: Magnus Metal Frost-a matte metallic grey with warm highlights and Deep Ocean Tintcoat.
OPTIQ-V’s cabin includes details designed to reinforce its performance persona and integrate them with innovative technology.
OPTIQ-V offers two interior palette options: Noir with Santorini Blue accents, and Noir and Sky Cool Gray with Santorini Blue accents. An optional interior palette featuring a Santorini Blue seatback panel and Santorini Blue seatbelt. Santorini Blue evokes the energy, action, and excitement associated with innovation and high performance.
Adding to the sporty appearance, OPTIQ-V features an exclusive darker colored patterned accent fabric that is woven from yarn made from 100 percent recycled materials, while interior door panels feature a Santorini Blue accent stitch for further embellishment. Seatbacks feature a unique V-Series fjords perforation pattern, with monochrome V-Series badging with blue accents embroidered on the seat.
Standard genuine woven carbon fiber décor is featured on the center console, while interior V-Series badging is featured on the performance steering wheel, sill plate and floor mats. Ambient lighting themes tied to different drive modes help further bring the performance ethos to life, according to Cadillac
