The Cadillac brand of General Motors Co. in Detroit today introduced the refreshed and “more advanced” 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing, which will debut this weekend in Florida as the official safety cars for the Rolex 24 at Daytona sports car endurance race.

According to Cadillac, the V-Series, marking its 20th anniversary, “is the ultimate expression of Cadillac design, performance, and technology.”

“Cadillac sedans continue to drive positive brand momentum, year-over-year,” says John Roth, vice president of global Cadillac. “Last year, our sedans experienced their best sales since 2018 and CT5 is Cadillac’s best-selling vehicle, globally. As V-Series celebrates a record year, the importance of this option for those customers who value performance and power cannot be overstated.”

The 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing will be produced at GM’s Lansing Grand River Assembly facility, with production to begin this summer 2024. Additional details and pricing will be announced in the future.

The 2025 CT5-V is distinguished by a new front-end performance design with a wider, lower appearance, which is designed to complement its fastback profile. Additional features include:

  • Redesigned grille and front fascia with black moldings, rocker extensions, and spoiler.
  • Redesigned Cadillac stacked signature vertical lighting with LED headlamps with Mondrian pattern etching.
  • Walk up and walk away lighting choreography.
  • Three new colors: Drift Metallic, Deep Space Metallic, and Typhoon Metallic.
  • Lit Cadillac Crest on the back of the 33-inch-diagonal LED display, which welcomes the driver upon approach.
  • Quad trapezoid exhaust tips.

The 2025 CT5-V Blackwing is made bolder by its redesigned grille and front fascia with aero ground effects and front fenders. Additional features include:

  • Redesigned performance front-end, delivering the ultra-high-performance CT5-V.
  • Carbon fiber packages, including one with a splitter.

New to the 2025 CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing is the 33-inch-diagonal LED color touchscreen display – bringing a tech-forward ambience to the interior with a customizable user interface designed to offer a personalized experience.

Among the additional technology features is an optional enhanced in-vehicle performance data recorder that includes a lap analyzer tool, new performance analysis features to help drivers maximize their on-track performance, and speed tips tool. An automatic summary before a track outing displays the vehicle’s configuration, tire pressures, and track data for the driver’s current-standing personal best performance.

Other new technology includes head-up display, the Access to AliveDrive mobile application, Super Cruise driver assistance technology with new Driver Attention Assist, and other performance-monitoring features.

The CT5-V is powered by a 3-liter, 360-horsepower engine that delivers 405 lb.-ft. of torque with 10-speed automatic transmission. The Blackwing version features a 6.2-liter Supercharged V-8 that generates 668 horsepower and 659 lb.-ft. of torque with a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic gearbox.
