Cabaret313, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing professional cabaret to Detroit, has announced its 2015-2016 season lineup, which includes performances by T. Oliver Reid, Jason Graae, and Alan Cumming, among others.

“This year is different because we’re having a special edition concert with Alan Cumming — he’s played the lead in Cabaret on Broadway for a number of years, he was the co-host of the Tony Awards a couple of months ago, and he’s on The Good Wife and has been for many years,” says Allan Nachman, co-founder and managing producer of Cabaret313.

Nachman says the performances are normally held at venues with 100 to 125 seats, but because Cumming is so well-known, the event will be held at The Music Box at the Max M. Fischer Music Center on March 19. General admission tickets cost $75.

Other performances include Christine Andreas, an award winning singer and actress and a two-time Tony Award nominee on Sept. 26; T. Oliver Reid, who most recently starred in After Midnight on Broadway, on Nov. 21; Jason Graae, who will perform a tribute to composer Jerry Herman on Jan. 23; and Maxine Linehan, who toured nationally in South Pacific, and has appeared in numerous off-Broadway shows, on May 7.

Cabaret313 is now in its third season, and Nachman says each year has seen an increase on attendance.
