Bloomfield Hills’ DealerShop Acquires Total Tool

DealerShop in Bloomfield Hills, a portfolio company of Resilience Capital Partners based in Cleveland, has announced the acquisition of Total Tool, a full-service distributor that sells and services an array of automotive shop equipment in the northeast U.S.

“The talented and experienced Total Tool team has provided exceptional equipment distribution, maintenance and repair for 40 years,” says Bill Gryzenia, president and CEO of DealerShop. “We look forward to enhancing our full-service value for all customers by combining Total Tool with DealerShop’s wide array of dealership and collision center offerings.”

As a result of the acquisition, DealerShop plans to accelerate its automotive equipment sales and service growth in upstate New York, Vermont, Western Massachusetts, and Connecticut.

Castleton, N.Y.-based Total Tool offers new and used auto repair shop equipment from respected manufacturers in the automotive repair equipment industry including: tire alignment equipment, tire changers, wheel balancers and brake lathes from Hunter Engineering Co., rotary lifts and waste-oil burners from EnergyLogic, and high-volume low-speed fans from MacroAir.

Besides the product offerings, Total Tool also brings value-added services such as expert installation, preventive maintenance, training, and equipment certifications.
