Arch, a Bloomfield Hills-based manufacturer of precision components for the medical, aerospace, and defense industries, has acquired Sonora, Calif.’s MMi, a similar company with expertise in precision manufacturing for the robotically assisted surgical market. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
MMi will join the Arch Medical Solutions segment and bolster the latter’s position as a growing supplier to the medical market. MMi’s core competencies include high-precision complex machining, prototyping to production, testing, assembly, and finishing. These advanced competencies are complementary to the existing high-precision machining capabilities at Arch Medical Solutions locations across the country, according to the company.
