Block Auction House, an affiliate of Aaron’s Estate Sales in Birmingham, Friday announced it has completed its move into a new auction house in Ferndale.

The auction house will specialize in 19th and 20th century art, objects, furniture and antiques. It was founded by Aaron Siepierski of Aaron’s Estate Sales and his wife, Tasha Siepierski.

The Ferndale headquarters will be 8,000 square feet and include a 4,500-square-foot showroom for live and online auction events, more than 2,000 square feet devoted to merchandise cataloging and photography, and about 1,500 square feet for Block Auction House company operations and administration.

“We searched far and wide for the perfect location to call home. It’s centralized and offers ample parking, making it easy for us to accommodate events of all sizes,” says Aaron Siepierski, owner of Aaron’s Estate Sales. “There are just no auction houses covering the northern Oakland County area and almost none across metro Detroit. This location places us in the middle of it all.”

The auction house is slated to host bimonthly auction events, educational seminars, pop-up estate sales, and other events. On June 3, there will be a soft launch with the auction house’s Antiques, Art, and Primitives Auction. More than 480 lots will be offered for sale. Doors open at 10 a.m. and live bidding will begin at 11 a.m. Bidding for the event can be done in-person and is currently available online here.

Block Auction House is located at 2345 Hilton Road.

Block Auction House and Aaron’s Estate Sales completed a sale and auction in October 2017 at the Motown Mansion, formerly owned by Berry Gordy, founder of Motown Records. The mansion, located in the Boston-Edison neighborhood in Detroit, hosted an estimated 2,000 buyers over the three-day estate sale and auction.
