Birmingham’s Near Perfect Media Partners with California Communications Agency

Marx Group, a San Rafael, Calif.-based research, strategy, and marketing communications agency for the automotive aftermarket, has formed a partnership with Near Perfect Media, a Birmingham-based public relations firm.

Through the alliance, Near Perfect Media will establish additional offices including, a full-scale Detroit office in conjunction with current Marx Group locations around the country.

“Our goal is to expand the reach of Near Perfect Media and this alliance does exactly that, further it gives us the opportunity to provide additional digital, advertising, and creative services to our clients,” says Justin Near, founder and president of Near Perfect Media.

The partnership follows the appointment of Frank Buscemi, executive vice president and partner of Near Perfect Media, as Marx Group’s new president, CEO, and creative director.

Buscemi, of Detroit, brings more than 20 years of experience in global marketing communications, primarily in the automotive industry, to his new role. He has worked in both corporate and agency management settings with several global, Tier-1 automotive suppliers, and aftermarket companies, including TI Automotive, ZF, Continental, Nexteer, and more.

He joined Near Perfect Media this year, and graduated from Grand Valley State University in Allendale.

Tom Marx, founder of Marx Group, will remain as chairman and chief strategy officer. Marx will also remain as a partner of Hart Marx Advisors focusing on mergers and acquisitions in the industry. The company will maintain its headquarters and production facilities in California.
