Birmingham-based KSI Kitchen and Bath is planning to move and upgrade its design center from 33254 Woodward Ave. to 1020 S. Old Woodward Ave. by the end of summer.

The new studio will offer personalized design consultations with KSI’s team of design experts and feature showroom space displaying a wide selection of cabinetry, vanities, countertops, and hardware.

“The growth and expansion of our business applies to our physical spaces too,” says Lauren Tolles, principal of KSI. “Our relocated and remodeled Birmingham design center will focus on customer experience and provide room to display the latest in kitchen and bath trends. We know these improvements will better position us to serve clients and make their design dreams a reality.”

The company also says its Cabinets Express subsidiary, headquartered in Brighton, will open a new location at 34732 Van Dyke Ave. in Sterling Heights by August to offer additional convenience to homeowners and trade professionals in southeastern Michigan.

KSI Kitchen and Bath also announced that industry veteran Tony Achatz joined the company June 8 as CEO.

“As a family-owned business, teamwork and collaboration have always been core to who we are,” says Bryan Tolles, principal of KSI. “The past few years have been very transformative for our company, and as we continue to grow, now is the right time to take our next important step to strengthen our team by welcoming Tony as our chief executive. His expert leadership and goal-oriented mentality will elevate the KSI brand and usher us into the next phase of our company’s growth and advancement. We’re excited to work together to build the future of KSI.”

Achatz comes to KSI from Cabinetworks Group (formerly Masco Cabinetry) where he served as director of sales and led the dealer channel across the U.S.
