Benton Harbor-based Whirlpool Corp. is launching a liquid laundry detergent – Swash – marking the company’s entry into the liquid laundry detergent category.

In ultra-concentrated form, the detergent washes up to 83 regular loads. It’s eight times concentrated and can be used in all machines.

Swash, according to Whirlpool, is designed to boost a washing machine’s ability to fight stains, has three fragrance options as well as a no-fragrance option.

“At Whirlpool Corp., we’ve found that many people wash clothes with the idea that more detergent means cleaner laundry, when in fact using more detergent than you need can leave residue on clothing as well as build-up in your washer over time,” says Danielle Antonelli, senior brand manager for Swash.

“We saw a real need to provide consumers with a product that makes it easy to get the right amount of detergent for every load while also helping boost your washer’s ability to fight stains.”

Saying Swash is “the smart way to wash,” they key to the product, the company states, is the Precision Pour Cap, which dispenses the detergent for users so they only pour what they need. The ultra-concentrated formula gets four times more loads with the same amount of detergent.

The pre-measured dose not only cleans clothes, it limits residue and other build-up the washer, according to Whirlpool.

“With a pre-measured dose of detergent you don’t just clean, you care for your clothes,” says Antonelli. “It’s a new way of washing based on a revolutionary idea to use what you need.”

It is available exclusively on Amazon, starting at $15.99. For more information, visit here.
