Benton Harbor-based Maytag has launched a new, large capacity Top Load Washer and Dryer, which are designed to handle bigger loads of laundry than other models.
“We know many families are busy, especially when holiday guests come and housework increases,” says Brendan Bosch, senior brand manager at Maytag. “That’s why we’re excited to introduce this durable new Top Load Washer that can save time by handling large loads — even up to 22 towels at once.”
A recent survey conducted by Omnibus Research on behalf of Maytag found that American households report that laundry is the most time consuming household task (41 percent), followed by tidying up (39 percent), and dishes (16 percent).
The Top Load Washer features a PowerWash cycle with extra cleaning action and heated water, a PowerWash agitator designed to fight stains, and a Depp Fill option, which fills the machine’s wash basket to a maximum water level for every laundry load.
The Top Load Dryer features steam-enhanced cycles, which are designed to help prevent wrinkles, refresh clothes, and reduce static. The machine also has advanced moisture-sensing technology, which uses sensor strips to monitor moisture levels and temperatures to ensure an even dry.
Maytag Top Load Washer and Dryer are now available at select retailers and online, with the washer starting at nearly $900 (MSRP), and the dryer starting at nearly $850 (MSRP).
In business for more than 100 years, Maytag is a Whirlpool Corp. brand that creates home, kitchen, and laundry appliances.
