Beaumont Health today announced its orthopedic and sports medicine program is expanding with a new dedicated Sports and Orthopedic Injury Clinic in Canton Township.
Designed to be the first stop for those with orthopedic injuries, the clinic will accommodate walk-in visits and appointments, offering same-day exams, imaging, surgical referrals, and treatment plans.
“This new clinic underscores Beaumont’s commitment to our orthopedic and sports medicine programs, and to the western Wayne community,” says Dr. Jeffrey Fischgrund, chairman of orthopedics for Beaumont Health. “Patients young and old can walk in and see a physician the same day they experience the injury so they can start recovering right away. Whether it’s a sports injury or a fall, the Canton (Township) clinic will surely be a valuable resource that will serve people and the community for years to come.”
Beaumont has more than 150 board-certified orthopedic surgeons working throughout metro Detroit, specializing in minimally invasive hip and knee reconstruction, orthopedic oncology, trauma, hand, foot, and ankle surgery, shoulder problems, and advanced spine surgery. The Canton Township clinic is located across the hall from the Beaumont Emergency Center to accommodate patients with more severe injuries.
“Our team enjoys working with athletes of all skill levels and treating patients from all walks of life, helping them get back to the activities they’re passionate about,” adds Dr. Fischgrund. “It’s an honor to provide this clinic to the Canton and western Wayne community to help patients recover as quickly as possible.”
The clinic is located at 7300 N. Canton Center Rd. and more information can be found here.
