Top Prospects Sports Training Center will open its doors this month to offer year-round baseball and softball training services in Farmington Hills.
“Now is the right time to open our doors as winter training has begun across the country,” says Jeff Poeszat, proprietor of Top Prospects. “We have an opportunity to introduce our trainers to today’s sports-minded communities, coaches, Little League members, school districts, and community recreation centers.”
Located at 24164 Haggerty Road near 10 Mile Road, the 9,000-square-foot facility features new turf, coin-operated batting cages, hitting/catching/training cages, and a pitching machine.
“Our primary goal is to provide the best in private, individualized professional baseball/softball instruction,” Poeszat says. “We have compiled a year-round staff of some of the finest skilled trainers in the area to offer private, semi-private, small group, and team instruction to players of all ages and ability levels, both male and female.”
Poeszat, a longtime baseball coach, says he hopes the facility provides youth with “an avenue to improve their skills and potentially fulfill their dreams to play high school, college, and professionally someday.”
The facility will host its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 19. Jeff Jones, pitching coach for the Detroit Tigers, will throw the ceremonial first pitch and sign autographs from 11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.
