SRG Global, a Tier 1 automotive interior and exterior trim supplier, is moving its world headquarters next month from Warren to a larger, more modern facility in Troy.
The 51,000-square-foot facility, to be located at 800 Stephenson Hwy., will house the support staff for the company’s global and North American businesses. The move will start in early July and take nearly a month. Once completed, more than 250 employees will be based in the Troy headquarters.
“Our new facility was created to inspire greater collaboration between our employees and customers, which will help drive more innovation into our designs and manufacturing solutions that meet the auto industry’s evolving needs,” says Dave Prater, president and CEO of SRG Global.
Since SRG Global was founded, the company has opened and expanded six facilities around the world.
“The (new) building serves as a creative center focusing on our employees’ fulfillment, and will be a place for them to foster ideas, share knowledge, inspire new technology developments, and to develop their capabilities to create the greatest value,” Prater says.
Prater says the company is committed to keeping southeast Michigan as its center of automotive operations as it expands.
