A local 14,419-square-foot event center will go up for auction on Monday, Sept. 28 at a starting bid of $400,000. It was last renovated in 2013 and sits on nearly two acres.

NAI Farbman and RealInsight Marketplace are handling the auction of the Bravado Event Center at 36217 Gratiot Ave. in Clinton Township. It is visible from I-94, and about 61,000 vehicles per day can see it and signage from Gratiot.

The previous owner invested $2 million for renovations and additions to the building, which was built in 1977, in 2013. It has three floors and no occupants. The renovation added high-quality finishes on the first and second floors. It has parking and could be redeveloped for uses other than a banquet center, according to RealInsight.

Bidding will open at noon on Sept. 28 and end at noon on Sept. 30. The platform fee for the transaction is 5 percent or a minimum of $25,000.
