Blake Farms in Armada and the Cupcake Station, which is Michigan-based and has five locations, have partnered to form Bakehouse46. The joint venture will offer baked goods and other products, and all Cupcake Station locations will be rebranded as Bakehouse46 starting with the Birmingham location.

The conversion of all locations – Birmingham, Ann Arbor, Ferndale, Plymouth, and Rochester – is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The Birmingham location at 136 N. Old Woodward Ave. is slated to open in mid-late February.

“We specifically sought out Cupcake Station for this collaboration because of its stellar quality and reputation,” says Andrew Blake, president of Blake Family Cos. “Combining our expertise and experience, we are confident the end result and creation of Bakehouse46 will bring something new to the marketplace.”

Bakehouse46 will feature treats including Cupcake Station cupcakes and Blake’s goods such as cider, donuts, candy, caramel apples, and fudge. The stores will also serve artisan bagels, Michigan-made ice cream, muffins, coffee, and vegan and gluten-free options. It will also offer catering.

“This partnership gave us the opportunity to evolve and create beyond cupcakes,” says Todd Gildersleeve, managing partner of Cupcake Station and Bakehouse46.  “It’s a win-win for both our loyal Cupcake Station customers who can still get our outstanding cupcakes and appeal to new customers and fans of Blake’s who will appreciate the expanded array of sweet treats and baked goods.”

Hours of operation will be 6 a.m.-8 p.m.
