American Airlines and Cadillac this month will launch a luxury airport transfer program at Los Angeles International Airport, with plans to expand the offering to additional airports by the end of the year.

The program identifies ConciergeKey members (the airline’s invitation-only, elite membership) with tight transfer times and escorts them to their next gate in a Cadillac CTS, SRX, or Escalade.

“Traveling in style is a shared interest of premium customers the world over,” says Uwe Ellinghaus, a spokesman at Cadillac. “Partnering with American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, allows us to engage customers and deliver valuable benefits in meaningful ways.”

Members of AAdvantage, American Airlines’ frequent flyer program, will also benefit from the new partnership. Starting this month, members can earn 7,500 AAdvantage miles for simply calling a Cadillac dealership and registering for a test-drive.

“American and Cadillac are two iconic American brands, both in the process of redefining the contemporary American luxury experience,” says Suzanne Rubin, president of the AAdvantage Loyalty Program. “This is just the beginning of the opportunities we see with our partnership with Cadillac, and we are thrilled to be able to offer these benefits to our customers.”

The brands will continue to roll out new rewards and experiences following the initial program phase, with plans to move the program offering into Dallas/Fort Worth International, New York’s LaGuardia, and John F. Kennedy International airports.

The partnership follows Cadillac’s recent announcement that it will open its new global headquarters next year in New York.
