Allstate Expansion to Bring 80 Jobs to Detroit

2064

Allstate Insurance Co. has announced a search to hire 80 sales professionals in metro Detroit, including 20 agency owners and 60 sales professionals for small business owners.

“We are seeing increased consumer demand for auto and home insurance as well as financial advice and planning,” says Gary Heslinga, Allstate’s Michigan sales leader. “We are seeking qualified professionals and offering comprehensive training and resources to support the success for each of them.”

Allstate, seeking entrepreneurs and individuals focused on community improvement, is offering $5,000 to those who refer eligible employees. Candidates who are interested in becoming an agency owner will require capital for an agency investment to fund day-to-day costs of a small business.

“We are unique among all other insurers because the agent owns the economic interest in their business,” says Heslinga. “Allstate agents can sell the economic interest in their agency, or pass the business they build on to a family member.”
