Alfa Romeo is returning to the North American market with a new dealer network, drawn from existing Fiat and Maserati brand dealers. Of the chosen 86, five are based in Michigan, including Suburban Fiat in Ann Arbor, Golling Fiat in Bloomfield Township, Fiat of Lakeside in Macomb Township, Ziegler Fiat of Grandville, and Fox Fiat in Traverse City.
The 86 dealers will sell the 2015 Alfa Romeo 4C coupe and limited edition 4C Launch Edition. It’s the first time new models from Alfa Romeo will be sold in North America since 1996.
“Each Alfa Romeo dealer will have a unique staff dedicated to the brand’s premium market clientele,” says Peter Grady, Chrysler Group’s vice president of network development. “We require each Alfa Romeo dealer to have their sales and technical staff go through an intensive curriculum to ensure the highest levels of customer care and proficiency of the Alfa Romeo 4C.”
In the U.S., California, Texas, and Florida will have the largest concentration of dealerships. There are four Alfa Romeo dealers slated for Canada.
Additional Alfa Romeo franchises will be awarded later this year. “We anticipate that the Alfa Romeo dealer network ultimately will exceed 300 franchises in North America,” Grady says.
