Acuitas has partnered with River Strategies. The companies will offer marketing and public relations services.

Lansing’s Acuitas, a government relations and advocacy group, and River Strategies, a full-service marketing and public relations firm with offices in Detroit and Chicago, Monday said  they have launched a partnership.

The combined marketing, branding, digital-strategy, public-relations, and public-affairs services will offer a broad and integrated approach to advocacy, a service trend that has grown in Washington, D.C. to control messaging on all channels.

“The partnership with River Strategies and Acuitas differentiates us in a meaningful way,” says Kevin Korpi, principal at Acuitas. “Today’s environment requires constant innovation and the ability to manage complex change and implement strategies successfully. This partnership with River Strategies hits on every level.”

The firms will also offer coalition management, media relations, grassroots and grasstops campaigns, media training, campaign strategy, and event planning.

“This partnership came about because both of our firms had experienced powerful success with a strategy that is aligned on all fronts – advocacy, media relations, (and) communication,” says Sarah Hubbard, principal at Acuitas. “We wanted to bring that efficiency and targeted approach to every client we work with.”

Leaders at the firms will continue to work with corporate, issue-based, and nonprofit clients out of their offices in Detroit, Lansing, and Chicago.
