Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn is teaming up with “Euphoria” and “White Lotus” actress Sydney Sweeney, who also is an avid auto enthusiast, to give a contest-winning fan a custom-made 2024 Ford Mustang GT designed by Sweeney herself.

Sweeney worked closely with the Ford team to design her dream vehicle, inspired by her 1965 Mustang named Britney. The 2024 Mustang GT will be the prize in the contest, which aims to celebrate those who defy stereotypes to pursue their passions, is being run via the automaker’s Instagram and TikTok accounts. The contest closes Feb. 7 at 11:59 p.m.

“It’s heartening to see Ford celebrate individuals who are pushing past stereotypes to do what they love,” says Sweeney. “That’s why I was so excited to work with Ford on designing my dream car, and I can’t wait to surprise someone special with a matching vehicle.”

Ford, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Ford Mustang this year, will assemble two custom Mustang cars — one for Sweeney and one for the contest winner. Inspired by Sweeney’s Brittany Blue 1965 Mustang, the vehicle is a blend of retro charm and a modern aesthetic, and incorporates her unique personal style through customized textures, embellishments, and other details, including:

  • A Robin’s Egg Blue exterior with a crushed glass clear coat and sleek 20-inch chrome rims.
  • Sweeney’s signature on the car’s engine.
  • The Ford x Sydney Sweeney heart bolt emblem — previously featured on clothing from the Ford x Sydney workwear collections – on the exterior side, the sill plate design, the dashboard, and embossed on the leather seats.
  • Color-changing LED stars across the headliner, inspired by Sweeney’s love for nighttime drives.

“Like me, Sydney is a Mustang girl,” says Laurie Transou, Mustang’s chief engineer at Ford.

“Each generation has its own distinct personality, but at their core, they embody a spirit of disruption, edge, and undeniable allure. Sydney’s interpretation of the Mustang captures this essence perfectly, reflecting the expressive and individualistic nature of those who are drawn to this iconic vehicle.”
