ACG Detroit Announces 7th Annual M&A All Star Award Winners

ACG Detroit, a nonprofit business organization of private equity firms, corporations, and lenders, has announced the winners of its seventh annual M&A All Star Awards that will be presented May 3 at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.

“Despite immense challenges across the market, the local M&A community was as active as ever over the past 12 months,” says Tom Vaughn, chair of the ACG Detroit M&A All Star Awards. “The quality of this year’s nominations has been truly exceptional and speaks to the commitment and fortitude of our members in each respective area of business.”

The M&A All Star Award winners are:

All Star Deal of the Year Over $50M — Wolverine Worldwide Inc.’s Acquisition of Sweaty Betty

All Star Deal of the Year Under $50M — KCM Environmental’s Acquisition of PM Environmental

All Star Advisor of the Year — Lee Kellert, Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss

All Star Investment Banker of the Year — Cliff Roesler, Co-Founder and Partner, Angle Advisors

Rising Star — Justin Hanna, Jaffe Raitt Heuer & Weiss

All Star Dealmaker of the Year — Huron Capital

Lifetime Achievement — Sharon Kimble, former executive director of ACG Detroit (presented posthumously)

The May 3 awards event will take place from 6 p.m.-8:30 p.m. at The Townsend. ACG Detroit’s 350-members focus on investment in middle-market companies.
