AAA Michigan in Dearborn has announced its 2019 award-winning hotels and restaurants across the state that earned the four-diamond rating during the past 12 months.
The awards went to 18 hotels and four restaurants in Michigan. In metro Detroit, the hotels include the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, The Westin Book Cadillac Detroit, MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino Hotel, and Greektown Casino-Hotel in Detroit, The Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth Township, Royal Park Hotel in downtown Rochester, Westin Detroit Metropolitan Airport in Romulus, and the Dearborn Inn and The Henry, Autograph Collection, both in Dearborn.
Other hotels include Firekeepers Casino Hotel in Battle Creek, Amway Grand Plaza, Curio Collection by Hilton and JW Marriott Grand Rapids in Grand Rapids, Radisson Plaza Hotel & Suites in Kalamazoo, Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, H Hotel in downtown Midland, Four Winds Casino Hotel in New Buffalo, and Hotel Walloon in Walloon.
The four-star restaurants include the Rugby Grill at the Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, Iridescence at the MotorCity Casino Hotel in Detroit, Café Cortina in Farmington Hills, and Cygnus 27 in Grand Rapids.
A four-diamond hotel is considered refined and stylish, providing upscale physical attributes, extensive amenities, and a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail, while the restaurants provide distinctive fine dining, creatively prepared and skillfully served cuisine, often with a wine steward, amid an upscale ambience.
