National Orthopedic Care Franchise Expands to Michigan, 32 Centers Planned

OrthoNOW, a national orthopedic care franchise, today announced it has awarded its first master franchise agreement in Michigan to Kelly Olin, an entrepreneur who plans to open 32 centers across the state within the next five years.

The company assesses and treats a range of orthopedic and sports injuries, chronic conditions, and preventative protocols — all on a walk-in basis.

Specialties include anything related to the foot, ankle, knee, hip, wrist, hand, elbow, shoulder, and spine. Every OrthoNOW is equipped with digital imaging equipment and offers the latest techniques and treatments by a team of orthopedic clinicians and orthopedic specialized ancillary providers, including Electro Neuro Muscular Therapy (ENMT), which dramatically alleviates acute and chronic pain, and expedites recovery time from surgery.

In turn, the company’s mobile app, called On My Way NOW, allows patients to notify an OrthoNOW center that they are in route, the reason they’re coming, and what time they expect to arrive. The recently upgraded app for iPhone users includes integration with Uber.

OrthoNOW has 54 Master territories available across the United States, and has operational centers in Florida and Georgia.

“Our first centers will be in strategic retail locations where our community lives, works, and plays,” says Olin. “OrthoNOW provides a proven system that eliminates improper patient care and provides downstream revenue and sustainability for the practitioner. I see this as a ‘healthcare game changer’ for Michigan families, our aging population, and health care professionals.”

Orthopedic medicine has a $48 billion impact on the U.S. economy annually. OrthoNOW was co-founded in 2010 by Dr. Alejandro Badia, a Miami-based hand and upper extremity surgeon, and Wall Street executive Justin Irizarry. The organization established OrthoNOW Franchise as a national brand in 2016, with national development launched in 2017.

Entrepreneur Magazine named OrthoNOW a “Top Ten Franchise Opportunity” in health care for 2018.

“We are thrilled to welcome Kelly Olin to the OrthoNOW family. (She) understand the value of our ground floor opportunity. Utilizing our all-in-one package, (our franchisees) can achieve professional satisfaction by being able to provide convenient, responsive, and affordable expert orthopedic urgent care to the residents of Michigan,” said Christine Dura, chief development officer of OrthoNow.
