Holland, Mich.’s JR Automation Acquires Auburn Hills’ Esys Automation

JR Automation, a Holland, Mich.-based provider of intelligent automated manufacturing and distribution technology systems, Friday announced it has acquired Auburn Hills’ Esys Automation, a full-service automation solutions provider with significant systems, controls, and software engineering expertise. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

The transaction marks the fourth strategic acquisition for JR Automation over the last six months.

JR Automation was established in 1980 and works in a variety of industries, including automotive, life sciences, aerospace, and more. With this acquisition, the company employs more than 2,000 people at 23 manufacturing facilities in North America, Europe, and Asia.
