Keego Harbor-based Company Folders, an online firm that sells a variety of branded document folders, report covers, and business cards to Fortune 500 companies, small businesses, and nonprofits, has closed on a new corporate headquarters building in downtown Pontiac. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“With this building, we’re gearing up to become a bigger company and a bigger part of the community,” says Vladimir Gendelman, founder and CEO of Company Folders. “Pontiac has seen hard times in the past, but it’s going through a boom that’s bringing in new businesses and new cultural opportunities.”

Built in 1920, the building, which is located at 22 W. Huron in Pontiac’s historical district, has the exterior look of an old-time storefront with a modern, spacious interior featuring two stories and a full basement.

Gendelman says the open floor plan of the building will be beneficial for communication within the company.

Company Folders is also creating more than a dozen new jobs as part of its move, and will fill positions in software development, marketing, and customer support.

Founded in 2003, Company Folders has worked with thousands of organizations to create print marketing materials that showcase its customers’ brand identities.
