A luxury lakefront property that includes a chef’s kitchen, master suite with spa bathroom, and private wine tasting room will go up for auction online on Monday, July 13. The home, previously listed at nearly $4 million, will have a starting bid of $1 million.

The smart home is in Metamora on Lake Lapeer. It is about 8,000 square feet and is situated on more than 1 acre with about 135 feet of private all sports lake frontage. It offers panoramic views and details such as custom millwork.

The house is fully automated and includes an elevator, energy efficient geothermal heat, a heated five-car garage, slate roof, trex dock with lift, dog spa, and more. It has four bedrooms and four full and one partial bath.

The chef’s kitchen has three Sub-Zero refrigerators, a Wolf six burner with a griddle stove, a steam oven, heated drawer, and four sinks. The master suite has a spa bathroom with a steam shower, heated floors, and a fireside soaking tub.

A golf simulator is on the lower level, as well as a movie theater, billiards lounge and bar, executive library with a private wine tasting room, and an arts and crafts room. Outside is a poolside cabana, outdoor kitchen, and resort-style pool with swimming jets and an easy access ramp. Landscaping also provides privacy for the firepit and beach.

The property owners have chosen to offer it through auction because it creates a firm closing date.

“High-end properties, even the most desirable, tend to sit on the market for months waiting for the right buyer,” says Scott Kirk, president of Interluxe, a luxury real estate online auction company handing the auction and based in North Carolina. “Interluxe has been successful by accessing a larger pool of buyers, who can participate in the online auction from wherever they are in the world. With more competitive bidding, a fair market value is easier to obtain — an advantage that both buyers and sellers appreciate.”

Prospective buyers and representatives can visit the property on Friday, July 10-Sunday, July 12. More information about the property including due diligence and procedures for registering to bid can be found here.

To make an appointment to view a property, call the Interluxe auction manager at (888) 415-5893.

The sale is being conducted in cooperation with the listing agent, William Brundage of Coldwell Banker Weir Manual.
