The Detroit Auto Show today announced Ford Motor Co., General Motors Co., Stellantis, and Toyota are the first major global automakers to confirm participation for the January 2026 show in the Motor City.

Numerous other automakers and brands will be announced throughout the year, officials state. The Detroit Auto Show will run Jan. 14-25, 2026, at Huntington Place.

“Building on the momentum from the 2025 Detroit Auto Show, we’re thrilled to announce Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, and Toyota will participate in the 2026 show,” says Todd Szott, chairman of the 2026 Detroit Auto Show.

“We are incredibly appreciative for their ongoing commitment to bring the Motor City one of the best shows in the world and support our more than a century of automotive heritage with the show.”

The 2025 Detroit Auto Show delivered more than 100,000 test drives on four indoor tracks, attracted hundreds of thousands of attendees, and had an economic impact of up to $370 million.

“These four automakers don’t just make cars, they move markets,” says Sam Klemet, executive director of the Detroit Auto Show. “Having Ford, GM, Stellantis, and Toyota at the forefront of the 2026 show underscores just how important Detroit remains to the global auto industry.”

Successful elements from last year’s show will return, including “Racing Day” in partnership with the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix. The activities will include a vehicle demo track, hands-on experiences, and sessions with IndyCar drivers during the public days.

Additionally, The Gallery, an ultra-luxury and exotic vehicle showcase which last year included 50 prestigious automobiles, will return in 2026 (no date has been announced yet).

Specifics of each OEMs participation, as well as announcing other brands and new and returning consumer experiential activations, will be shared in the coming months.
