
The Detroit Auto Show today announced SAE International (Society of Automotive Engineers) will co-sponsor, with the Detroit Auto Dealers Association, Media and Industry Days at the 2026 Detroit Auto Show to be held Jan. 14-15, 2026, at Huntington Place.
SAE International engages nearly 200,000 engineers, technical experts, volunteers, and students worldwide to advance safe, clean, and accessible mobility solutions.
Through the partnership, a portion of Detroit Auto Show Industry Day ticket sales will support SAE’s AWIM and University Programs inspiring the next generation of innovators through hands-on STEM experiences for PreK–12 students and college participants.
“SAE International members are the backbone of global mobility, representing the highest level of expertise in every facet of the industry, so partnering with this prestigious organization is a win-win,” says Sam Klemet, executive director of the Detroit Auto Show. “We believe this will enhance the show experience for all attendees while providing support for SAE’s wonderful STEM-focused activities.”
During Media and Industry Days, SAE International will showcase its University Programs while engaging industry leaders and the more than 300 anticipated college student attendees. Additional SAE participation in Media and Industry Days, including the Mobility Global Forum, will be announced as details are finalized.
