2402

TiECon Midwest, a two-day entrepreneurial conference to be held Oct. 27-28 in Dearborn, will offer a platform of investment opportunities up to $1 billion for startups with ideas that can revolutionize health care mobility.

Along with funding, the investment opportunity will offer incubation space and senior mentorship for startups that are selected.

“We are in search of new developments in science and technology that will improve health on a global scale,” says Tel Ganesan, president of TiE Detroit. “We believe total investment of this magnitude for all startups, and the providing of physical incubation space in Michigan, can assist innovators with solutions that will benefit humanity worldwide.”

During TiECon Midwest, an anonymous investor and innovation team will meet with vetted startups seeking funding. The team will also offer product expertise and mentorship.

All ideas must be preregistered on the conference’s website, and applicants must attend the event.

TieCon Midwest 2016 is being held at The Henry Hotel, located at 300 Towne Center. The theme of this year’s conference is “Ignite2Disrupt: Connected World. Connected Technologies.” The three main tracks of the event will focus on connected mobility, connected health, and global connectivity.

TiE is dedicated to fostering entrepreneurs across its international network sponsored by venture capital firms and Fortune 500 corporations. Spread across 61 chapters in 18 countries, the organization has grown to become the world’s largest nonprofit for entrepreneurs.
