The new 2016 GMC Sierra Elevation Edition, available early next year, will offer 20-inch black-painted aluminum wheels, LED lighting, and a six-speaker audio system.

“The Sierra Elevation Edition offers a boldly styled pickup for customers who want a truck that looks as good as it performs,” says Duncan Aldred, U.S. vice president of Buick and GMC. “With its muscular design details, inherent truck capabilities, and premium technology features such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability, Sierra Elevation improves on an already comprehensive package.”

Aldred says the Elevation Edition, which is available on a Sierra double cab, has body-color moldings, door handles, mirror caps, grille, and bumpers. The truck has new, high-intensity discharge projector-beam headlamps.

The Sierra Elevation Edition has a radio with a seven-inch diagonal screen, incorporating CarPlay and Android Auto phone integration capability. Drivers can make calls, send and receive messages, and control music from the touchscreen. A built-in Wi-Fi hotspot allows for seven devices to connect to the Internet.

Aldred says all Sierra Elevation Edition models have remote keyless entry, outside heated mirrors, and a 110-volt AC power outlet. The vehicle has a standard V-6 engine, although a V-8 engine with more than 350 horsepower is available. Customers can choose from either two- or four-wheel drive.

All-terrain tires, a rear vision camera system, trailering equipment, and XM Radio are available on all models. Pricing information will be announced soon.
