Shrader Real Estate and Auction Co. next month will auction approximately 1,100 acres of irrigated cropland and recreational land north of Niles, near the Indiana border.

“This is really beautiful land in Berrien and Cass counties, just a few minutes north of South Bend,” says R.D. Shrader, president of the Indiana-based auction house. “We have a number of tracts that will be of interest to both investors and operators, with productive soils.”

In addition to the cropland, the auction will include two homes, grain storage facilities, and frontage on the Dowagiac River. The land is being offered in 17 tracts, ranging from two acres with a house to 210 acres. A total of 361 irrigated acres will be up for bid.  The auction will be held Nov. 5 at the Century Center in South Bend.

One of the recreational properties, Shrader adds, offers a 24-acre tract of woodlands with a fishing pond and a three-bedroom home with views of the river.

Representatives will be available on-site at the property to share more details on from 4-6 p.m. Oct. 28.
