Tre Monti, a gourmet restaurant next to the San Marino Club in Troy, was the setting for DBusiness magazine's 2015 Top Lawyers reception on Jan.22. The evening, which drew more than 200 honorees and their guests, included a strolling supper, craft cocktails, sponsor displays, and party favors.

Designer's Night, one of a series of parties leading up to the North American International Auto Show, was held on Jan. 12 at the Bankle Building in Detroit's Midtown district. The event combined motorsports, pop art, gourmet food, and fashion.

WJR's Paul W. Smith presented his annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit on March 17. Business and government leaders were in attendance, and the McSpillin Band entertained throughout the morning.

The John Varvatos store in downtown Detroit held a media opening on March 12. Dan Gilbert, Dan Mullen, vice president of leasing and development for Bedrock Real Estate Services, and John Varvatos were on hand for the event. The store is now open to the public.

The Social D with Chuck Bennett, an online social magazine, celebrated its one year anniversary with a party at The Roostertail in Detroit on March 10. The theme was "Our Favorite Things 2015," which included Shinola, the Townsend, and dinner from Bistro 82 and Tre Monti.

From March 15 to July 12, the Detroit Institute of Arts will host an exhibit with 23 works by Frida Kahlo, whose work has never been shown at the museum. Kahlo and Diego Rivera spent about a year in Detroit in the early 1930s. In this time, Rivera created his famous murals that are housed at the DIA.

On March 9, the Michigan Aerospace Manufacturers Association hosted a major supplier event at the DC3S Conference Center in Sterling Heights. Presenting companies included Enstrom Helicopter Corp. and Detroit Aircraft Corp.

Henry Ford Health System held The Medallion, Macomb's Gala Event, at Penna's of Sterling in Sterling Heights on March 7. Honoring physicians, volunteers, and community partners, the event drew 1,000 attendees and featured a dinner, dancing, mock gambling, and a grand package raffle.

The Jolly Pumpkin Pizzeria and Brewery located in Detroit's Midtown district will open to the public next month. The 5,000 square feet space is filled with large picnic tables for communal dining. The menu features gourmet pizzas, salads, sandwiches, and burgers, along with a full bar with more than 30 taps.

Fellow Barber, a Brooklyn-based collective of traditional barbershops and apothecaries, held its opening at 441 W. Canfield St. in Midtown, Detroit on Saturday, Feb. 28. The event included cut and shave services, appetizers, cocktails, and a DJ.
