CATCH, which raises funds for patients who receive support from Children's Hospital of Michigan Foundation and Henry Ford Health System, held its Golf Prelude Party on July 14 at MGM Grand Detroit.

More than 20 gourmet restaurants were featured at Taste of Lions, a fundraiser for Eastern Market hosted by the Detroit Lions on May 7. The event included a strolling buffet, a player meet and greet, an auction, a raffle, and live music.

The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute raised a record $2.5 million at its 31st annual dinner, held at General Motors' Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center on April 20. More than 550 people enjoyed a sit-down dinner, live auction, and entertainment.

Thousands of people gathered along the Detroit Riverfront on June 24 for the Ford Fireworks presented by Target. The display of fireworks was booming with color.

More than 2,000 people attended Sunset at the Zoo on June 14, the Detroit Zoological Society's main fundraiser. The strolling gourmet food event included the first look at the Jane and Frank Warchol Beaver Habitat and Cotton Family Wetlands Boardwalk.
